Parent Involvement Policy

North Elementary is a Title I school that receives federal funds which provide Title I services to all students. Title I services include: individual/small group instruction, reading assessment, parent involvement, parent volunteers, tutoring, summer reading program, and parent workshops.

An important component of the Title I program is parent involvement. With parent help, we can increase student achievement and make sure your child succeeds!

Parents

Please remember that all individuals who come into our school, except employees and students, are considered Visitors to our building. To ensure the safety of all, we ask that all visitors check in at the office upon arrival through the front door and get a visitor's pass if you need to go somewhere in the building.  Please be prepared to present your photo ID.

Media of Your Child

During the course of the year, we will be taking your child's picture and/ or recording video of activities going on around the school that may include your child. The pictures and videos are often displayed at the school and may be used to publicize activities at our school in the news media. If you prefer that your child's picture not be used in this manner, please let the school know via the form sent home at the beginning of the year, and should your preferences change during the year, please notify the school as soon as possible.
